Nature Education Center Events 2019

Enjoy an educational presentation and make some new friends!

September 14, 2019, 10:00 am- "Birds • Insects • Native Plants: Inviting the Web of Life into Your Yard!" by Marty MacCleery and Marty MacArthur from our local River City Chapter of Wild Ones.  How do native plants increase insects in your yard and how does that help birds?  Would you like to learn how to transform your yard into a nourishing "foraging hub" that provides ecosystem services such as food, shelter and nesting sites for your birds?  Should your yard be all natives? No!  Are there differences in ecosystem services provided by native plants? Yes!  Please join us to learn more about these important issues as well as how to "Grow a Bird Feeder in Your Yard!"

All programs are held at 10:00 on Saturday mornings at the Wild Birds Unlimited Nature Education Center, 3087 Broadmoor Ave. SE (next door to the store).  We encourage you to bring your friends and neighbors!

Please register by email: [email protected] with your name and number attending or call 616-957-0366.  While registration is appreciated, walk-ins are always welcome!
